Error Code d90
Duct blockage — ductwork approximately 90% blocked (displayed for 2 hours only)
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: d90
How to Fix
- 1
Do not operate the dryer until the exhaust system has been cleaned and/or repaired — severely restricted exhaust is a fire hazard.
- 2
Check the outside dryer vent hood while dryer is operating for strong airflow; if airflow is weak, ductwork is blocked.
- 3
Inspect the vent hood exterior for lint buildup, damage, or obstruction; clean or replace as needed.
- 4
Check the entire duct run for kinks, tears, or clogs; straighten kinked duct or replace torn duct.
- 5
Do not install a screen on the end of the air duct.
- 6
Check total duct length — for 4-inch rigid metal duct with no elbows maximum is 65 ft; each 90° elbow reduces maximum length (1 elbow = 55 ft, 2 = 47 ft, 3 = 36 ft, 4 = 28 ft).
- 7
Use only 4-inch (10.2 cm) rigid, semi-rigid, or flexible metal ductwork.
- 8
Clean the lint filter before each load.
- 9
Clean the blower assembly if foreign material has entered.
- 10
If ductwork is confirmed clear but error recurs, press and hold Steam + Energy Saver for 3 seconds to default off Duct Blockage monitoring (display shows ON/OFF); or reset / replace main PCB.
- 11
Run installation check test after repair: press and hold Damp Signal and Wrinkle Care, then press Power; press Start/Pause; confirm code {n5 displays and test completes without d90/d95.
