How to Fix

    Do not use the dryer until the exhaust system has been cleaned and/or repaired — using with severely restricted exhaust is dangerous and could result in fire or property damage.

    Check outside dryer vent for strong airflow while dryer is operating.

  3. 3

    Have exhaust system checked immediately.

  4. 4

    Install a shorter or straighter duct run.

  5. 5

    Clean ductwork thoroughly.

  6. 6

    Replace crushed or damaged duct sections.
