Also displayed as: tE1

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Turn off the dryer power.

  2. 2

Remove connector NA6 from the controller.

  3. 3

Short pin 2 (Blue Wire) and pin 3 (Orange Wire) with a metal jumper.

  4. 4

If tE1 clears, check that NA6 connector and 6-pin connector are securely connected to controller; if connection is good, replace controller.

  5. 5

    If tE1 persists, measure resistance between thermistor terminals with harness disconnected; compare to Table 1 (50°F/10°C = 18.0kΩ, 70°F/27°C = 9.3kΩ, 100°F/38°C = 6.2kΩ, 130°F/54°C = 2.9kΩ, 160°F/71°C = 2.2kΩ).

  6. 6

If resistance is out of range, replace thermistor.

  7. 7

If resistance is in range, check harness linking connector for corrosion, bent pins, or broken wires and repair as needed.
