Thermistor of blower housing open or shorted

What This Means

Thermistor open circuit; Thermistor short circuit; Harness connection to NA6 connector loose or disconnected

How to Fix

1. 1

   Turn off power and discharge voltage by contacting metal plug of power cord to ground

2. 2

   Remove NA6 connector from controller

3. 3

   Short Pin 1 (Blue Wire) and Pin 4 (Orange Wire) to controller — if short is detected, check control and 6-pin connector are properly connected, then replace controller

   If no short detected, measure resistance between thermistor assembly terminals after separating harness

5. 5

   Compare measured resistance to temperature table (e.g., 50F=18kOhm, 70F=9.3kOhm, 90F=7.7kOhm)

   If resistance is out of range, replace thermistor

7. 7

   If resistance is in range, check harness-linking connector
