Moderate

Address soon - your appliance may not work properly

Also displayed as: tE1

How to Fix

  1. 1

Turn power off and discharge capacitors by contacting metal plug of power cord with ground.

  2. 2

Remove connector NA6 from the controller.

  3. 3

Short Pin 2 (Blue Wire) and Pin 5 (Orange Wire) on the NA6 connector to the controller.

  4. 4

If the error clears, check that the control connector and 6-pin harness are properly connected; replace controller if defective.

  5. 5

If error does not clear, measure resistance between thermistor assembly connector terminals after separating harness.

  6. 6

    Compare measured resistance against Table 1: at 50°F (10°C) expect 18.0kΩ, 70°F (27°C) = 9.3kΩ, 100°F (38°C) = 6.2kΩ, 120°F (49°C) = 4.3kΩ, 140°F (60°C) = 3.0kΩ.

  7. 7

If resistance is out of range, replace the thermistor assembly.

  8. 8

If resistance is in range, inspect and repair harness-linking connector.

  9. 9

tE1 error is displayed during the drying cycle or in test mode.
