LG Ovens & Ranges
Error Code F2
Upper oven sensor shorted
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: F2
How to Fix
- 1
Unplug the unit.
- 2
Check if any connector is disconnected or loose: inspect sensor connection at CN60 (pins 4 and 5) and CN61 (pins 5 and 6) of Main PCB.
- 3
If connector is loose, reconnect and retest.
- 4
Measure thermistor resistance. Normal: approximately 1.09 kΩ ±10% at 77°F (25°C). Near-zero resistance = shorted sensor.
- 5
If thermistor resistance is abnormal (shorted), replace the upper oven temperature sensor.
- 6
Plug in unit and verify with test mode. Normal thermistor reading at room temperature should be 70°F to 90°F.
- 7
If sensor tests normal but F2 persists, replace the Main PCB.
