Error Code F6
Upper oven overheating
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: F6
How to Fix
- 1
Unplug the unit.
- 2
Check oven sensor (thermistor) resistance. Normal: approximately 1.09 kΩ ±10% at 77°F (25°C).
- 3
If thermistor is shorted or reads abnormally low, replace the upper oven temperature sensor.
- 4
If thermistor is normal, check igniter relay on Main PCB. Measure resistance of igniter relay (Live): Normal = infinite; Abnormal = shorted. Check relays RY54 (Upper Bake, CN61 Tab 01 and Tab 54), RY53 (Upper Broil, CN61 Tab 01 and Tab 53), RY52 (Convection, CN61 Tab 01 and Tab 52).
- 5
If any igniter relay is shorted (stuck closed), replace the Main PCB.
- 6
Check DLB relay resistance: Normal = infinite; Abnormal = shorted. Check RY60 (Tab 62 or Tab 61 and Tab 60). If shorted, replace Main PCB.
- 7
Plug in unit and verify in test mode. Confirm thermistor reading is between 70°F and 90°F at room temperature.
- 8
If thermistor reads correctly but F6 recurs, replace the Main PCB.
