Error Code F-1
Oven sensor open circuit
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
Oven temperature sensor wire broken or disconnected; Loose connector at oven sensor or at Power PCB CN31; Failed oven temperature sensor (open)
How to Fix
- 1
Press CLEAR/OFF key to cancel the current cook operation
- 2
Allow oven to cool for at least one hour
- 3
Disconnect power to the range
- 4
Check the oven sensor connector for looseness; reconnect if loose
- 5
Disconnect the oven sensor from the harness and measure resistance: normal is approximately 1.06 kOhm at 65F to 1.12 kOhm at 85F (1.09 kOhm +/- 10% at 77F/25C); replace sensor if out of range
- 6
Check Power PCB connector CN31 for looseness or terminal damage; reconnect or replace harness if defective
- 7
Restore power and enter test mode to verify sensor value: press CLEAR, then press BAKE+BROIL simultaneously for 1 second (failure code display), press BAKE+BROIL again (S/W version display), then press COOK TIME to view sensor value — normal reading is 65F to 95F at room temperature
- 8
If sensor value is abnormal, replace Power PCB
- 9
If sensor value is normal, fault is resolved
