Freezer Sensor Error
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
How to Fix
- 1
Check for a loose or disconnected connector between Main PCB and sensor (CON8 pins 22–21). If loose or disconnected, reconnect or repair the connector.
- 2
With power off, measure resistance at CON8 pins 22–21. If resistance is 0 Ω (short circuit), replace the freezer sensor.
- 3
With power off, measure resistance at CON8 pins 22–21. If resistance is infinite/open, go to step 6.
- 4
Compare measured resistance against the temperature/resistance table for CON8 pins 22–21. If resistance does not match expected value, replace the sensor.
- 5
If resistance matches the table at current ambient temperature, the sensor is functioning correctly — explain normal operation to customer.
- 6
Check the physical sensor connection. If the sensor connection is normal but resistance is still open, replace the refrigerator/sensor. If sensor connection is abnormal, reconnect or repair the connector.
