Error Code E IS
Defect of ice-room sensor or ice maker sensor
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: E IS
How to Fix
- 1
Check if connector between Main PCB and icing sensor is loose or disconnected; if yes, reconnect or repair and retest.
- 2
With power OFF, measure resistance at CON3 10th Pin to 9th Pin. If resistance is 0 Ohm (short circuit), replace the icing sensor.
- 3
If resistance is open/infinite (OL), go to step 6.
- 4
If resistance reads a value, compare against the temperature-resistance table. If outside expected range for current temperature, replace the sensor.
- 5
If resistance is correct, the sensor is functioning normally; explain to customer.
- 6
Check the sensor wire harness and connector. If all connections are normal, replace the refrigerator main PCB.
