Error Code E FF
Defect of BLDC fan motor for freezer
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
How to Fix
- 1
Reset the unit and enter TEST MODE 1 (press test button 1 time).
- 2
Open the freezer door and check for airflow from the fan duct. If airflow is detected (windy), go to step 5.
- 3
If no airflow, manually rotate the fan blade by hand. If it feels sticky or stiff, replace the freezer fan motor.
- 4
If fan rotates freely, check fan motor supply voltage at CON4 pins 20-19. Expected: 11.4V-12.6V DC in TEST MODE 1. If voltage is absent or incorrect, replace main PCB.
- 5
Check fan feedback voltage at CON4 pins 18-19. Expected: Not 0V or 5V (should be a pulse signal). If voltage is 0V or 5V (stuck), replace the fan motor.
- 6
Check fan PWM signal at CON4 pins 17-19. Expected: Not 0V or 5V (should be a PWM signal). If PWM is stuck at 0V or 5V, replace the main PCB.
- 7
If all voltages are correct and fan airflow was detected in step 2, explain to customer that unit is operating normally.
