Error Code E FF
Defect of BLDC fan motor for freezer — no feedback signal from fan motor for more than 65 seconds
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: E FF
How to Fix
- 1
Step 1: Reset the unit, then enter Test Mode 1 (push button 1 time). Open the freezer door and check for air flow.
- 2
Step 2: If airflow is present (windy), proceed to Step 5. If no airflow, proceed to Step 3.
- 3
Step 3: Manually rotate the freezer fan blade by hand. If it feels sticky/stiff, replace the freezer fan motor.
- 4
Step 4: Measure fan motor supply voltage at CON4 20th Pin ~ 19th Pin in Test Mode 1. Should be 11.4~12.6V. If voltage is absent or incorrect, replace Main PCB.
- 5
Step 5: Measure fan feedback voltage at CON4 18th Pin ~ 19th Pin. Acceptable reading is any value that is NOT 0V or 5V. If stuck at 0V or 5V, replace the fan motor.
- 6
Step 6: Measure fan PWM voltage at CON4 17th Pin ~ 19th Pin. Acceptable reading is NOT 0V or 5V. If stuck at 0V or 5V, replace Main PCB.
- 7
Step 7: If all voltages are correct and fan rotates freely but error persists, explain to customer.
