Error Code E FS
Defect of freezer sensor — short-circuit or disconnection of freezer temperature sensor
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: E FS
How to Fix
- 1
Step 1: Check if the connector between Main PCB and freezer sensor is disconnected or loose. If yes, reconnect or repair the connector and retest.
- 2
Step 2: Measure sensor resistance at CON8 22nd Pin ~ 21st Pin. If resistance is 0 ohms (short circuit), replace the sensor.
- 3
Step 3: If resistance is OL/infinite (open circuit), proceed to Step 6.
- 4
Step 4: Compare measured resistance to the temperature/resistance table. If resistance does not match the expected value for the ambient temperature, replace the sensor.
- 5
Step 5: If resistance matches table correctly, explain normal operation to customer — no fault exists.
- 6
Step 6: Check sensor wiring continuity from connector to sensor body. If sensor connection is normal (continuity good), replace the refrigerator main PCB. If sensor connection is broken, reconnect or repair the connector.
