LG Refrigerators
Error Code FS E
Freezer Sensor Error
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: FS E
How to Fix
- 1
Check for loose connection in CON7 on Main PCB.
- 2
Unplug connector from CON7.
- 3
Measure resistance between Blue/White and Blue/White wires.
- 4
If reading is 0 ohm (short): Replace the freezer sensor.
- 5
If reading is open (infinite/OL): Replace the refrigerator control board (Main PCB).
- 6
If reading is within normal range, verify against Temperature Table-1: -22F(-30C)=40.5-38.5kΩ, -13F(-25C)=30.5-28.5kΩ, -4F(-20C)=23-21.5kΩ, 5F(-15C)=17.5-16.5kΩ, 14F(-10C)=13.5-12.5kΩ, 23F(-5C)=10.5-9.5kΩ, 32F(0C)=8-7.5kΩ.
- 7
If resistance matches table for current temperature, sensor is good — inspect wiring harness for intermittent fault.
