Error Code FS E
Freezer Sensor Error
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: FS E
How to Fix
- 1
Check if the connector between Main PCB and freezer sensor is disconnected or loose. If disconnected: reconnect or repair the connector.
- 2
Measure sensor resistance at CON5 pin 12 to pin 11. If resistance is 0 ohms (sensor shorted): replace the sensor.
- 3
If resistance is infinite/open (sensor open): replace the refrigerator sensor.
- 4
If resistance reads a value, cross-reference with the temperature-resistance table. At -22F/-30C expect 40k ohms; at -13F/-25C expect 30k; at -4F/-20C expect 23k; at 5F/-15C expect 17k; at 14F/-10C expect 13k; at 23F/-5C expect 10k; at 32F/0C expect 8k.
- 5
If resistance is within normal range for the measured temperature: no fault in sensor — explain normal operation to customer.
