How to Fix
- 1
Inspect door gasket for damage. If damaged, replace door gasket.
- 2
Measure Fuse-M resistance: should be 0 Ω (continuity). If open/infinite, replace defrost control assembly.
- 3
Measure defrost heater resistance: should be 34–42 Ω. If open, replace defrost heater.
- 4
Measure defrost sensor resistance: should be approximately 22 kΩ at room temperature, or infinity (open) if failed. Replace if failed.
- 5
Enter Test Mode 3 (push test button 3 times; display shows '33 33'). Measure heater voltage at CON3 pin 24 to pin 9: should be 112–116V.
- 6
If voltage is present (112–116V) but heater does not heat, replace the defrost heater.
- 7
If voltage is absent, replace Main PCB.
- 8
Enter Test Mode 1 (push button 1 time). Measure CON3 pin 27 to pin 9: should be 0V. If not 0V, replace Main PCB.
- 9
If all checks pass, explain normal operation to customer.
