How to Fix
- 1
Note: IS E displayed without user input is an Icing Sensor error. IS E displayed after 3 hours applies to other sensor errors.
- 2
Check for loose or disconnected connector between Main PCB and icing sensor.
- 3
If connector is disconnected or loose, reconnect or repair the connector.
- 4
Measure sensor resistance at CON5 pin 15 to pin 17. If resistance is 0 Ω (short), replace the sensor.
- 5
If resistance is OL/infinite (open), replace the sensor.
- 6
Cross-reference with temperature/resistance table: -30°C=40kΩ, -25°C=30kΩ, -20°C=23kΩ, -10°C=13kΩ, -5°C=10kΩ, 0°C=8kΩ.
- 7
If resistance is normal for the measured temperature, explain normal operation to customer.
- 8
If abnormal, replace the Main PCB.
