Condenser Fan Error — Condenser BLDC Fan Motor Abnormality
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: CF E
What This Means
No feedback signal from BLDC condenser fan for 65+ seconds during operation; Faulty BLDC motor connection; Faulty DRIVE IC or transistor; Fan blade physically obstructed
How to Fix
- 1
Reset the unit and enter Test Mode 1 (press test button 1 time).
- 2
Check condenser fan rotation. If fan rotates normally, proceed to step 4.
- 3
If fan does not rotate: rotate fan by hand. If it feels sticky/stiff, replace fan motor.
- 4
Check fan motor power voltage at CON7 4th pin to 6th pin. Should be 5V in Test Mode 1. If NOT 5V, replace Main PCB.
- 5
Check fan control signal voltage at CON7 8th pin to 6th pin. Should be between 0V and 5V. If not in range, replace Main PCB.
- 6
Check fan feedback voltage at CON7 2nd pin to 6th pin. Should be between 0V and 5V. If not in range, replace fan motor.
- 7
If all voltages are correct and fan rotates normally, explain normal operation to customer.
