Error Code dH F
Defrost Heater Error / Poor Defrosting
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: dH F
What This Means
Temperature fuse (Fuse-M) open; Defrost heater disconnected or failed; Drain jam; Poor relay for heater; Defrost sensor failure; During 2 consecutive cycles defrost sensor did not reach 46°F (8°C)
How to Fix
- 1
Check door gasket for damage. If gasket is damaged, replace door gasket.
- 2
Check Fuse-M resistance: should be 0 ohms (continuity). If open/infinite, replace defrost control assembly.
- 3
Check defrost sensor resistance: should be approximately 22 kΩ at room temperature, or matches temperature table. If open or shorted, replace defrost sensor.
- 4
Enter Test Mode 3 (press test button 3 times on Main PCB; display shows '33 33'). Check CON3 heater voltage at 9th pin to 4th pin. If voltage is 112-116V, proceed to check heater.
- 5
If Test Mode 3 voltage is NOT 112-116V at CON3, replace Main PCB.
- 6
Enter Test Mode 1 (press test button 1 time; display shows '11 11'). Check CON3 at 2nd pin to 9th pin. If voltage is NOT 0V, replace Main PCB.
- 7
If all PCB voltages are correct but heater still fails, check defrost heater resistance (should be 34-42 ohms). Replace heater if out of range.
