Error Code E CH
High Side Cycle Leakage (refrigerant leak or sealed system restriction on high side)
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
High side refrigerant leak; Restriction in sealed system (high side); Bad compressor; Bad valve; Condenser blockage
How to Fix
- 1
Check display for E CH error code
- 2
Use SVC App or temperature gun to determine if compressor or sealed system is faulty vs customer emotional fault
- 3
Check voltage to confirm PCB is not the problem
- 4
Measure equilibration pressure (return time to equilibrium pressure): if slow to equalize (15+ min) = clogging present
- 5
Confirm sufficient refrigerant in sealed system via equalization pressure check
- 6
If refrigerant leak: perform leak test using refrigerant or nitrogen
- 7
Check high-pressure parts for leak: Condenser, Drier, etc.
- 8
If no leak in high-pressure parts: check low-pressure parts (Evaporator, Suction pipe)
- 9
After sealed system repair: error will automatically disappear when freezer temperature reaches 14F; check leak using UV drier on next visit
