Condenser Fan (BLDC) Error — feedback signal not received from condenser fan motor within 65 seconds

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Step 1: Reset the unit and enter Test Mode 1 (push test button 1 time).

  2. 2

    Step 2: Check whether the condenser fan is rotating. If rotating, proceed to Step 4.

  3. 3

    Step 3: If fan is not rotating, manually rotate with hand. If it feels sticky or seized, replace the fan motor.

  4. 4

    Step 4: Measure fan motor power voltage at CON7 pins 4–6. Expected: 12V. If voltage is not 12V, replace the Main PCB.

  5. 5

    Step 5: Measure fan control signal voltage at CON7 pins 8–6. Expected: 0V to 5V (PWM). If not in this range, replace the Main PCB.

  6. 6

    Step 6: Measure fan feedback voltage at CON7 pins 27–6. Expected: 0V to 5V. If not in range, replace the fan motor.

  7. 7

    Step 7: If all voltages are correct and fan rotates freely, explain to customer.
