Error Code E It

Ice Maker Kit Defect — error of ice maker system (motor, gear, Hall IC). Displayed when Ice Maker test switch is pressed within 1 hour after power-on.

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Step 1: Enter test mode by pressing the ice maker test switch for more than 0.5 seconds while the mould is in horizontal position.

  2. 2

    Step 2: Check whether the ice ejection motor rotates. If the motor does not rotate, replace the ice maker assembly.

  3. 3

    Step 3: Verify Hall IC feedback signal is present. If Hall IC signal is absent, replace the ice maker assembly.

  4. 4

    Step 4: Inspect gear mechanism for breakage or binding. Replace ice maker assembly if gears are damaged.

  5. 5

    Step 5: If motor and Hall IC pass, replace the Main PCB.
