Communication Error — Main MICOM and Display MICOM

What This Means

Poor communication connection between Main PCB and Display PCB; Loose hinge wiring connection

How to Fix

1. 1

   Step 1: Check all connector hinge connections between Main PCB and Display PCB.

2. 2

   Step 2: Measure voltage at CON101 pins 18-16 — expected 12V; if absent, check hinge connection (loose) and if connection is good, replace Main PCB.

3. 3

   Step 3: Measure voltage at CON101 pins 10-16 — expected 5V; if absent, check hinge connection and if good, replace Main PCB.

4. 4

   Step 4: Measure voltage at CON101 pins 14-16 — expected NOT 0 or 5V; if 0 or 5V, replace Display PCB.

   Step 5: Measure voltage at CON101 pins 12-16 — expected NOT 0 or 5V; if 0 or 5V, replace Main PCB.

   Step 6: Measure voltage at CON5 pins 4-3 — expected NOT 0 or 5V; if 0 or 5V, replace Display PCB.

7. 7

   Step 7: Measure voltage at CON5 pins 5-3 — expected NOT 0 or 5V; if 0 or 5V, replace Main PCB.

8. 8

   Step 8: If all checks are normal, explain to customer.
