Communication Error between Main PCB and Display PCB

How to Fix

1. 1

   Check all loose connections between Main PCB and Display PCB via CON101 hinge connector.

2. 2

   Measure voltage at CON101 pins 5-4. Expected: 12V supply. If absent, check hinge wiring or loose connection; replace Main PCB if hinge OK.

3. 3

   Measure voltage at CON101 pins 1-4. Expected: 5V logic supply. If absent, check hinge or replace Main PCB.

4. 4

   Measure voltage at CON101 pins 2-4. Expected: not 0V or 5V (active data). If reads 0V or 5V, replace Display PCB.

5. 5

   Measure voltage at CON101 pins 3-4. Expected: not 0V or 5V. If reads 0V or 5V, replace Main PCB.

6. 6

   Measure voltage at CON5 pins 12-11. Expected: not 0V or 5V. If reads 0V or 5V, replace Display PCB.

7. 7

   Measure voltage at CON5 pins 14-11. Expected: not 0V or 5V. If reads 0V or 5V, replace Main PCB.

8. 8

   Explain to customer if all checks pass.
