Locked Motor Error

What This Means

Motor drive connector (GY4 on MAIN PWB) disconnected or disassembled; 3-pin male blue connector in MOTOR HARNESS not connected to 3-pin female blue of STATOR ASSEMBLY; Bad or unstable electric contact between 3-pin male blue MOTOR HARNESS and 3-pin female gray connector in MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY; MOTOR HARNESS between STATOR ASSEMBLY and MAIN PWB cut (open circuit); Stator winding resistance out of range (spec: 5-15 Ohm for all phase pairs U-V, V-W, W-V); Rotor magnet cracked; IPM module in controller defective

How to Fix

   Confirm LE is displayed

2. 2

   Check motor drive connector (GY4) on MAIN PWB — if disconnected or disassembled, reconnect

3. 3

   Pull out GY4 connector, measure resistance at Gray 3P male terminal (U=1, V=2, W=3) between phases U-V, V-W, W-V — spec: 5-15 Ohm — if in range, proceed

4. 4

   If resistance out of range: replace STATOR

5. 5

   Visually inspect rotor magnet for cracks — if cracked, replace ROTOR

6. 6

   If winding resistance is within spec and rotor is intact: check IPM in controller — if defective, replace MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY
