The water inlet valve is not fully closing, allowing small amounts of water to trickle in

Check if you notice water in the bottom of the dishwasher when it has not been running recently

1. Check water valve operation — valve should not allow water through when off

2. Measure water valve coil resistance — normal: approximately 990 ohms +/-10%

3. Check for foreign material preventing valve from closing

4. If valve leaks when powered off, replace water valve
