The water valve is leaking water through when it should be closed
What actually causes this:
Mineral buildup or debris is preventing the water valve from closing completely
First Thing to Check
This is usually not noticeable during normal use — if you see the dishwasher filling slightly when it's supposed to be off, the valve needs attention

3. Measure inlet valve coil resistance — normal: approximately 1.2 kOhm
