What This Means
The heater is out of order (stuck on); The thermistor is out of order (reading too low, causing heater to overheat)
What actually causes this:
The temperature sensor is misreading, causing the heater to run too long, or the heater relay is stuck on
First Thing to Check
Turn off the dishwasher and let it cool — do not open the door immediately as steam could escape

1. Check the hot water connections for the inlet valve

2. Check the operation of the thermistor — see Temperature Sensor Check

3. Measure thermistor resistance per the resistance table
- 4
4. Check the heater relay — ensure it disengages properly

5. If thermistor and heater test normal, replace Main PBA
