What This Means
Clogged lint filter restricting airflow; Restricted or clogged vent system causing heat buildup; Thermistor malfunction (resistance out of range); PCB fault
What actually causes this:
Most often caused by a clogged exhaust vent that traps hot air inside the dryer, or the heating element has burned out.
First Thing to Check
Check your exhaust vent — disconnect it from the back of the dryer and look for lint buildup inside.

3. Measure thermistor resistance: should be 10KOhm at 25C (77F) for electric models or 238.23 kOhm at 25C (77F) for gas models

5. Run time dry for 20 minutes after service and check whether HC error occurs or not
