What This Means
Restricted vent system causing excessive heat buildup; Thermistor failure or out-of-range resistance; PCB malfunction; Heater malfunction; Motor or heater not working normally during Smart Install
What actually causes this:
Most often caused by a clogged exhaust vent that traps hot air inside the dryer, or the heating element has burned out.
First Thing to Check
Check your exhaust vent — disconnect it from the back of the dryer and look for lint buildup inside.
