Error Code C-20
Oven temperature sensor open circuit (resistance over 2950 ohms) or shorted (under 930 ohms)
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
What This Means
Defective oven temperature sensor; Damaged sensor wire harness or terminals; Faulty connector CNS600 on main PCB (pins 4 and 6); Damaged PCB traces or solder joints related to oven sensor circuit
How to Fix
- 1
Disconnect power to the range
- 2
Open the back cover and disconnect the sensor harness from the control board
- 3
Measure sensor resistance; normal value is 1080 ohms at room temperature
- 4
If resistance is out of range, replace the oven sensor
- 5
If sensor is good, check for damaged terminals or wire harness
- 6
Check resistance of oven sensor connector CNS600 on main PCB (pins 4 and 6); normal is 1080 ohms
- 7
Inspect PCB for damaged traces, solder joints, or other oven-sensor-related components; repair or replace main PCB as needed
