Refrigerator temperature sensor is broken or not connected properly.

What This Means

Sensor housing slipped out; Wire cut or damaged; Wire short circuit; Sensor reading above 50°C or below -50°C

What actually causes this:

Temperature sensor wire came loose or the sensor itself failed.

First Thing to Check

Look for loose or damaged wires near the refrigerator section.

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Check voltage between Case Connector DC YEL2 #16 and #17

  2. 2

    Expected voltage: 4.5V to 1.0V

  3. 3

    If outside range, sensor is faulty
