1. Check if defrost heater operates when in manual defrost mode

2. Measure resistance of defrost heater (66/240 ohm ±10% for R-DEF)

3. Check bimetal thermostat Opens at 140°F(60°C) / Closes at 104°F(40°C)

4. Run manual defrost and verify heating completes within 80 minutes
- 5
5. Verify system returns to cooling after defrost
