The compressor motor won't start

What This Means

AC input voltage too low (below 95V); Compressor terminal short-circuit; Inverter PBA IPM short-circuit; Compressor wiring damaged; Defective compressor; PCB soldering defect

What actually causes this:

The compressor is broken or the inverter control failed

Check if you hear a humming sound from the compressor area

How to Fix

  1. 1

    1. Check AC input voltage — should be 110-127V

  2. 2

    2. Check COMP terminals (U, V, W) for short-circuit

  3. 3

    3. Measure for DC 13.5V minimum at IPM pins

  4. 4

    4. Check PCB soldering on inverter part

  5. 5

    5. Inspect compressor wire connections for damage

  6. 6

    6. If voltage and soldering normal, replace Inverter PBA

  7. 7

    7. If issue persists, replace compressor
