What actually causes this:

Ambient sensor wire came loose or sensor failed

First Thing to Check

Unplug refrigerator, wait 30 seconds, and plug back in to reset — if error persists, call technician

How to Fix

  1. 1

    1. Check voltage between Main PCB CN30 pins 1 and 2 — should be within 4.5V to 1.0V range

  2. 2

    2. Reconnect sensor connector if loose

  3. 3

    3. Check wiring harness for visible damage or moisture

  4. 4

    4. Measure sensor resistance with power off

  5. 5

    5. If voltage readings are correct, replace Main PCB
