Error Code 2E
Fridge compartment temperature sensor is faulty or disconnected
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: 2E
What This Means
Sensor housing connector at CN30 not properly inserted; Wire insertion order in connector CN30 does not match circuit diagram; Open or short circuit in the thermistor wire; Defective thermistor
What actually causes this:
The sensor that measures fridge temperature lost its connection or has internally failed, so the control board gets no temperature reading from the fresh food section.
First Thing to Check
Open the fridge, look for the thin sensor wire running from the back wall, and press the small connector at the top firmly until it clicks.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check that Main PCB connector CN30 is fully seated
- 2
Verify the wire insertion order in CN30 matches the circuit diagram
- 3
Measure voltage between CN30 pin 1 and pin 5; should be within 4.5V–1.0V
- 4
Measure voltage between CN30 pins #5 and #7 to confirm input voltage is within normal temperature range
- 5
If wiring is correct and connector is seated, replace the temperature sensor
