What This Means
Ice maker sensor connector slipped out; Open or short circuit in sensor wire; Abnormal temperature reading above +65°C or below -50°C
What actually causes this:
The sensor that tells the ice maker when water is frozen solid enough to harvest has failed, so ice making cannot complete properly.
First Thing to Check
Locate the ice maker sensor wire (runs from ice tray area) and press its small connector firmly — these are frequently loosened during ice bucket removal.
