What This Means

Connector at Main PCB CN51 unseated; Open circuit in heater wire; Short circuit in heater element

What actually causes this:

The heater element that prevents the ice bucket from freezing solid in place has an open circuit — ice may clump or freeze to the tray.

First Thing to Check

Check resistance across CN51 pins 4 and 5 — infinite resistance confirms an open circuit in the heater.

How to Fix

    Remove Main PCB CN51 connectors

  2. 2

    Measure continuity between CN51 pin 4 and CN51 pin 5

  3. 3

    0 Ohm = shorted heater; ∞ Ohm = open wire or slipped connector
