Error Code COMP_START_FAILURE
Compressor fails to start up
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: Inverter PBA LED blinks (1 blink pattern)
What This Means
Short between compressor U, V, W phase terminals (CN102); Short among IPM IC3 pins (#1~24); DC 15V supply dropped below 13.5V; Compressor internal failure; Refrigerant cycle issue
What actually causes this:
The inverter board cannot get the compressor motor spinning, usually due to a board fault, low supply voltage, or a failed compressor.
First Thing to Check
Check that the compressor wiring connector (CN102) is fully plugged in at the back of the machine compartment.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check DC 15V at ZD501
- 2
Check DC 5V at C1009
- 3
Verify AC 115V at CN81
- 4
Check for short between compressor terminals
- 5
Check IPM voltage: must be above 13.5V
- 6
Inspect inverter PCB soldering for shorts
