What This Means

Short between compressor U, V, W phase terminals (CN102); Short among IPM IC3 pins (#1~24); DC 15V supply dropped below 13.5V; Compressor internal failure; Refrigerant cycle issue

What actually causes this:

The inverter board cannot get the compressor motor spinning, usually due to a board fault, low supply voltage, or a failed compressor.

First Thing to Check

Check that the compressor wiring connector (CN102) is fully plugged in at the back of the machine compartment.

    Check DC 15V at ZD501

    Check DC 5V at C1009

  3. 3

    Verify AC 115V at CN81

  4. 4

    Check for short between compressor terminals

  5. 5

    Check IPM voltage: must be above 13.5V

  6. 6

    Inspect inverter PCB soldering for shorts
