Error Code FREEZER_FAN_ERROR
Freezer fan motor is not running or not sending feedback
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: F blinks (freezer fan indicator)
What This Means
Fan motor failure; Fan blade obstructed by ice; Wiring bad contact at CN20; MAIN PCB fan drive circuit failure
What actually causes this:
The freezer evaporator fan has stopped spinning, which will cause poor freezer cooling and eventually a warm freezer. Often caused by ice accumulation around the fan blade or a failed motor.
First Thing to Check
Open the freezer and listen for fan noise with the door held closed (use manual operation mode). Check if ice has built up around the fan.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check voltage at MAIN PCB CN20 pin 18 (W/BLK) and pin 16 (S/RED): should alternate between DC7~12V and below DC2V
- 2
Check pulse signal at CN20 pin 14 (PNK): should read ~2~3V on multimeter
- 3
Use manual operation mode (FF) to force fan operation
- 4
If fan still does not rotate, check for ice obstruction on blade
