Error Code FREEZER_SENSOR

Freezer temperature sensor reading is out of range

Moderate

Address soon - your appliance may not work properly

Also displayed as: F blinks (freezer LED)

What This Means

Sensor connector CN20 pin 10/12 not fully seated; Thermistor resistance outside expected range (open or short); Damaged wiring harness between sensor and MAIN PCB

What actually causes this:

The thermistor measuring freezer temperature has failed, lost its connection, or the wiring has been damaged, so the control board cannot read the actual temperature.

First Thing to Check

Open the freezer evaporator cover and visually confirm the yellow sensor connector is fully clicked into its housing near the evaporator.

Parts Involved

Thermistor 502AT (F-sensor)MAIN PCB CN20

How to Fix

  1. 1

Verify voltage at MAIN PCB CN20 pins 10 and 12 is between 1.0V and 4.5V

  2. 2

If voltage is out of range, disconnect CN20 and measure resistance across sensor leads; compare to temperature table

  3. 3

Check for 0Ω (short) or infinite Ω (open/break)

  4. 4

Inspect wiring and connector for damage or moisture
