What This Means

Sensor connector at CN30/CN76 loose or disconnected; Sensor wire open or shorted; Sensor temperature reading above 149°F (65°C) or below -58°F (-50°C); Failed sensor unit (502AT thermistor)

What actually causes this:

Sensor connector has vibrated loose, or the sensor failed from age or moisture exposure.

First Thing to Check

Open the fridge and firmly push both ends of the sensor connector at CN30 and CN76 on the main board.

How to Fix

    Check MAIN PCB connectors CN30 and CN76 are fully seated

  2. 2

    Measure resistance between CN30 #6 (White) and CN76 #1 (Gray) — compare to DATA1 temperature table

  3. 3

    Measure voltage at CN30 #6 (White) vs REG1 HEAT SINK ground — should be 0.6V to 4.6V

  4. 4

    Verify IC01 MICOM pin #76 input voltage is within normal range

  5. 5

    Check SENSOR MARKING #3 (R311) on PCB for solder defects
