Error Code F-SENSOR ERROR
Freezer temperature sensor has failed or disconnected
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: F LED blinks
What This Means
Bad connector contact at CN20; Open or shorted thermistor; PCB solder defect (iced solder, solder bridge, disturbed solder)
What actually causes this:
The thermistor wire connector worked loose over time, or the thermistor itself burned out. Sometimes ice builds up around the sensor harness and pulls the connector loose.
First Thing to Check
Open the freezer and look at the sensor connector — wiggle it firmly to reseat it and see if the error clears.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check that MAIN PCB connector CN20 is fully seated
- 2
Measure voltage between CN20-10 and CN20-12; expected range 4.5V to 1.0V
- 3
If voltage is out of range, measure thermistor resistance at CN20-10 vs CN20-12 and compare to DATA1 temperature table
- 4
Check IC01 MICOM pin 7 input voltage
- 5
Inspect PCB solder joints around R224
