Also displayed as: R Sensor Error LED blinks (Refrigerator compartment)
What This Means
Sensor connector CN20 not fully seated; R Thermistor (502AT) defective, open, or short-circuited; Wiring harness damaged between refrigerator sensor and MAIN PCB; MAIN PCB connector CN20 damaged; Sensor resistance value abnormal
What actually causes this:
Main refrigerator section sensor wire came loose or sensor broke
First Thing to Check
Locate sensor connector on back wall of refrigerator section and ensure it's pushed in fully
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Verify MAIN PCB Connector CN20 is fully inserted and locked
- 2
2. Measure voltage between CN20-9 (White/Yellow) and CN20-11 (Ground) - normal: 0.6V to 4.6V
- 3
3. Measure resistance between CN20-9 ↔ CN20-7 - verify against temperature table
- 4
4. Check IC01 MICOM #5 input voltage
- 5
5. Check for solder bridges, cold solder, and SMD defects on MAIN PCB
