Error Code 21E
Freezer fan motor stopped responding or lost its feedback signal
Critical
Stop using immediately - risk of damage or safety issue
Also displayed as: 21E
What This Means
BLDC fan motor failed; Fan motor wire separated or connector loose; Feedback signal line contact error; Foreign object obstructing fan blade
What actually causes this:
Fan motor bearing seized or wiring connector vibrated loose — ice buildup on blades can also stall the motor.
First Thing to Check
Open the freezer and listen for the fan; remove the evaporator cover and visually check the fan for ice obstruction or seized bearing.
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
Check voltage of MAIN PCB CN75 pin 1 to pin 4 — should be 7V to 12V
- 2
Confirm compressor is running (fan runs under comp-on conditions)
- 3
Check door switch is closed (open door inhibits fan)
- 4
Verify pulse signal at CN74 pin 7 (F-Fan) when motor spins
