What This Means

Sensor housing connector disconnected or slipped out; Open-circuited sensor wire; Short-circuited sensor; Sensor reading temperature above +50°C or below -50°C

What actually causes this:

Connector worked loose over time, or the sensor itself failed — common after years of door vibration.

First Thing to Check

Open the refrigerator door and inspect the sensor connector near the evaporator cover — confirm it is fully clicked in.

How to Fix

  1. 1

    Check voltage between Main PCB CN30 pins 1 and 5 — should be 4.5V to 1.0V

  2. 2

    Verify CN30 connector is fully inserted

  3. 3

    Verify wire insertion order in CN30 matches circuit diagram

  4. 4

    Check input voltages of CN30 #5 and #7 are within normal temperature range
