What actually causes this:
The fridge defrost heater circuit failed or is stuck in the on position.
First Thing to Check
Check the defrost heater for continuity across both wire terminals.

Separate MAIN PCB CN70 wire from PCB

Read resistance between CN70 White and Black connectors
- 3
If 0 Ohm: heater is shorted
- 4
If infinite Ohm: wire or thermal fuse is open
- 5
Check defrost sensor voltage during cycle
