What This Means

Washing heater short-circuited or wire disconnected; Heater contact check; Temperature sensor fault; PBA relay malfunction

What actually causes this:

The washer tried to heat water when there was not enough water in the tub, causing the heater to overheat.

First Thing to Check

Unplug the washer immediately and do not restart until the unit has cooled down for at least 30 minutes.
