What This Means
Heater engagement fault (out of place); Washing heater short-circuited or wire disconnected; Temperature sensor fault; PBA relay malfunction
What actually causes this:
The heating element shifted out of position and is overheating
First Thing to Check
Turn off the washer immediately and unplug it — overheating can be a safety concern

1. Check heater engagement — ensure it is properly seated

2. Measure heater resistance between A and B — should be 16.05 plus or minus 0.65 ohm
- 3
3. If wash heater is faulty, replace it
- 4
4. If heater is normal, replace the wash-thermistor at back of tub
