The washer's motor isn't spinning correctly
Moderate
Address soon - your appliance may not work properly
Also displayed as: 3C
What This Means
Motor spin net is not engaged; Motor internal coil is damaged (short-circuited or cut); Hall sensor terminal is not connected; Foreign material (a screw) has entered the motor; Motor overloaded due to too much laundry (non-sensing); Motor hall sensor terminal is not connected; PBA fault or weak motor driving signal from PBA; Unstable relay operation; Erroneous operating signals from the motor hall sensor; IPM terminal of the main PBA is not connected; DD motor cover is out of place; PCB housing terminal is not connected; DD motor fault
What actually causes this:
The washer is overloaded with too many clothes, or a small object got stuck near the motor
First Thing to Check
Remove some laundry to reduce the load, then restart the cycle
Parts Involved
How to Fix
- 1
1. Check the motor connector terminal connections and contacts
- 2
2. Plug out the motor connector and measure resistance at any two of the three motor terminals — should be 6.0 ohm at 25 degrees C
- 3
3. Check if 3E is displayed due to motor overloading from too much laundry — reduce load
- 4
4. Check the motor hall sensor — measure resistance on the main PCB motor connector between pins 1 and 3, and pins 1 and 4 of the four pins — should be approximately 2 to 4 megaohm
- 5
5. Check voltage at the hall sensor when power is on
- 6
6. Check whether the stator of the motor cover is damaged
- 7
7. Check for coil disconnections due to foreign material
- 8
8. If the PBA control circuit is faulty, replace the PBA
